(CNN)Tekashi 6ix9ine was launched from federal jail Thursday after his lawyer stated the rap artist’s asthma made him susceptible to the unique coronavirus.

The rap artist, whose genuine name is Daniel Hernandez, will serve the rest of his sentence in the house, his defense lawyer Lance Lazzaro informed CNN.
