How does Xyzal Tablets work?

Levocetirizine is the antihistamine in Xyzal tablets that helps relieve symptoms of hay fever, like stuffy noses and watery eyes. When you come into contact with something your body recognizes as allergens such as pollen or animal hair/fur it releases the chemical ‘Histamine’.

Usually histamine is a useful substance, but in an allergic reaction it causes unpleasant symptoms including itchy, watery eyes, a running or blocked nose, sneezing and skin rashes.

levocetirizine blocks the effects of histamine and reduces these symptoms.
